Wet & Live 2009

First ever night event in Singapore’s best-known water theme park - Wild Wild Wet
6 exclusive night events to experience a different ‘Wild Wild Wet’

Singapore, 1 October 2009-
Wild Wild Wet, Singapore’s best-known water theme park is launching exclusive night events themed “Wet & Live”! In October, November and December 2009, NTUC Club will be organising six special night events to allow visitors to experience an entirely different Wild Wild Wet (WWW). At the event, the popular Tsunami and the relaxing Jacuzzi will be open for visitors at only $8 per adult/ $6 per child ($7 / $5 respectively for NTUC members).

“Wet & Live”
Celebrating its fifth birthday this year, WWW is bringing a whole new experience to its visitors. For the very first time, WWW will be open from 7pm to 10pm for visitors to experience WWW at night. Themed “Wet & Live”, visitors can relax in the Jacuzzi and have fun in the Tsunami (Wave Pool), while enjoying different genres of music like Top 40s hits, Pop, alternative rock and Reggae with a special ‘Live’ band. There will also be a barbeque food stall selling a variety of grilled items, hot snacks and drinks. For visitors who love WWW, this is definitely an experience not to be missed and for those who do not like to be out in the sun, this will be a great opportunity to chill out in WWW.

“NTUC Club is constantly looking for fun and interesting leisure activities for our members and visitors. To provide new experiences, we decided to organise night events, which is a first since WWW opened its doors in 2004. For these events, we will create a totally different WWW and let our guests enjoy an experience that they will never forget. If the response is good, we might even have the night events on a regular basis”, said Mr Benny Lee, Director, Theme Park, NTUC Club.

Event Details
Specially organised on every second and fourth Saturday of the last quarter of 2009, the six “Wet & Live” events will be on 10th & 24th October, 14th & 28th November and 12th & 26th December 2009. NTUC members will enjoy a special admission fee of $7 per adult and $5 per child (below 12 years old), nEbO members will also enjoy it at $7 and for the general public, the rates will be $8 per adult and $6 for child (below 12 years old).

About NTUC Club

Established in 1986, the entertainment and leisure arm of National Trades Union Congress (NTUC), NTUC Club, is in constant dynamic flux as it seeks to reinvent itself to offer exciting union-centric promotions and programmes. The club is committed to membership recruitment and retention through generating value in union membership.

Working towards a vision of an all-inclusive Labour Movement, NTUC Club provides the platform to engage the various communities under the Labour Movement and has been an active driver to two communities targeted at the youths and the active agers. In 2007, nEbO was launched as an all-in-one lifestyle community for youths aged between 12 and 21, to reach out and develop their relationship with NTUC. U Live, on the other hand, is the latest platform to engage senior workers and retirees aged 55 years and above, to encourage community bonding and continuous association with the Labour Movement.

Today, the club is also one of the largest lifestyle providers in Singapore. It manages and operates a portfolio of lifestyle and recreational facilities, resorts and clubhouses, including Downtown East, E!hub, Escape Theme Park, Wild Wild Wet, eXplorerkid, The Spa @Aranda, Marina Bay Golf Course, DXO, Scarlet City, Union Square, Happy Days, Jest D’Place and Costa Sands Resorts (Downtown East, Pasir Ris and Sentosa).
