Opened in 2005, DXO is located at the Esplanade. It is NTUC Club’s latest clubhouse. Its music play list includes Retro, R & B, Commercial Top 40’s, House and Trance. DXO counts tertiary students and young PMEBs as its audience base. Clubbers can get a scenic view of the Marina Promenade from the outdoor chillout area, The Nest. Famous artistes and deejays who have performed at DXO include Boy George and Melanie C, DJ Marky(Brazil), TOWA TEI (Japan), Rasmus Faber & Melo (Sweden), Spiritual South (UK) and Master H (France). DXO was the venue for Singapore’s first Blogger’s conference and Miss Singapore World Pageant Finalists(Preview) in 2005. It was also the filming location for MediaCorp Arts Central’s production, 9 Lives.

The new 8,304 sq ft premise can accommodate 350 patrons and features a mixture of Oriental and Zen elements including Chinese Calligraphy. In 2007, the black interior was repainted in cheery orange.
Live entertainment is a big thing here. Resident artistes performs a mix of Mandarin & Hokkien evergreens and the latest pop songs in Music Unlimited on Tuesdays while Comedy Night on Thursday focuses on live stand up comedy & songs. Raaga Mantra every Wednesday is dedicated to the Indian community with live band & DJ sets. Fridays are reserved for Dangdut aficionados. Translated as ‘The Best of Dangdut’, the weekly event Dangdut Gerek features a repertoire of Indonesian music by Malay band Kalahari. Fans of Rock music can watch Hanafie Warren & Friends belt out all your favorite Rock Tunes in Rock Nite every Sunday.

Opened in 2000, Union Square at The Amara is the only place in Singapore where you can get Salsa music six days a week provided by DJs and live bands from Cuba & Colombia. It is also the first local club to introduce bar-top putting. Golfers’ night happens every Monday. Union Square has established itself as a congregation venue for salsa enthusiasts from the four local major dance studios. It has even designated Tuesday nights for Salsa beginners to rehearse their moves. The club’s deejay will gladly play Latin and Salsa song dedication requests from audience . Enjoy the performances of foreign and local artistes at the Wine bar. There is also a pool table for pool players. Union Square was one of the filming locations for MediaCorp TV Channel 8 drama Love Concierge.
