Towards Inclusivity and Accessibility: My Golf Kaki unveils GreenBox Indoor Golf Simulators at Downtown East and Orchid Country Club

June 2 2025, Singapore: My Golf Kaki (MGK) is expanding its golf offerings, introducing not one, but two new playgrounds for golfers at the heartlands with GreenBox by My Golf Kaki at Downtown East (DE) and Orchid Country Club (OCC). This is done in collaboration with E Golfing, Golfzon, and the Singapore Golf Association (SGA).

GreenBox is the latest swing in MGK’s ongoing campaign to democratise a sport long bound by exclusivity. As Singapore’s courses grow fewer and skies more fickle, the estate-less golf community is harnessing technology and embracing community to keep the game open, affordable and inclusive for all. As its membership grows, MGK is further broadening its reach – welcoming a younger profile of golfers, including women and juniors finding their swing at GreenBox.

The launch of GreenBox comes hot on the heels of MGK’s eponymous booking app which made its debut in January 2025.

Mr Melvyn Tan, NTUC Club’s Director, Golf Ecosystem and OCC’s General Manager, says: “It’s a natural evolution for My Golf Kaki – a bold step forward in making golf more easily accessible, affordable and engaging for golfers from all walks of life. GreenBox also transforms the game’s time-honoured traditions into a spatial indoor experience that is as seamless as it is revolutionary with its tech applications.”

Shaun Tay Kai Yuan, General Manager of E Golfing adds: "By combining immersive simulator technology with a strong community like My Golf Kaki, we’re not only lowering the barriers to entry but also creating fun, inclusive spaces for everyone. E Golfing was born out of a vision to redefine how people experience golf in today’s fast-paced, digitally connected world, and this is just the beginning of how we plan to innovate the golf landscape in Singapore."

While golf simulators are hardly a new concept, GreenBox sets itself apart by blending sport with lifestyle, as well as offering a more intentional approach to the game. Here, the sport sheds its starched formality in favour of something more dynamic: a combo of leisure and friendly rivalry, where the swing remains precise, but the experience is anything but conventional.

Walk past it, and one might easily mistake it for an urban cafe, with bold, embellished walls and lively pop-art motifs within its modern confines. Beyond its appearance, GreenBox flexes its accessibility through competitive pricing, tailored experiences, and innovative programmes, making it both inviting and attainable.

Serious Play, Uber Fun

At DE, GreenBox asserts itself with a flagship space spanning an impressive 9,500 sq ft, designed with equal reverence for precision and play. Meanwhile, its second outpost at OCC, an intimate yet no less refined 3,500 sq ft venue, embodies the same spirit of innovation – an elevated yet accessible space to engage both seasoned golfers and novices. Yet GreenBox is more than a mere facility, it is an evolution of the smart-lounge ethos in a hospitable atmosphere that feels decidedly exclusive.

Here, golf unfolds as a social pursuit – whether you’re swinging solo, sparking friendly rivalries, or basking in the ambient hum. Enveloped in a contemporary minimalist aesthetic, the spaces are defined by soothing green hues, juxtaposed with vibrant and pop-art accents that contrast with its clean lines. Warm lighting bathes the venue, creating a setting that feels refreshingly unbound.

GreenBox at DE features a lounge area, outfitted with beverage display chillers stocked with refreshing drinks and beers, offering a relaxing moment where guests can pause, recalibrate, and perhaps trade a few post-game reflections. For those in need of a bite, takeout options from DE and OCC are steps away, making it easy for visitors to indulge in a satisfying meal within GreenBox’s warm ambiance. Coming soon: a curated retail corner rounds out the experience, featuring exclusive GreenBox merchandise – tote bags, caps, and water bottles, alongside a selection of golfing essentials.

Everyone can Golf

GreenBox caters to golfers of every stripe, from casual enthusiasts to dedicated players, and newbies. The DE flagship features 19 bays, including four exclusive virtual golf rooms equipped with the state-of-the-art TwoVision NX system for a true course experience. With precision sensors for optimal data capture, each suite hosts up to six registered players, plus space for two guests to take a swing.

The remaining 15 public bays are powered by the Golfzon Driving Range Plus (GDR+) system. Over at OCC, the venue features eight bays: three private golf rooms equipped with TwoVision NX and five public bays utilising GDR+, offering the same dynamic player capacities.

Outfitted with precision sensors and dual-angle cameras, the GDR+ system offers more than just data – it delivers a masterclass in modern swing science through a wealth of club and ball statistics. From ball flight to virtual divots, every nuance is captured and analysed, making it ideal for training, lessons and golf try-outs. An on-course practice mode blurs the line between simulation and reality with 30 map scenarios for practicing on-course strategy and gameplay; while the auto tee-up thoughtfully adjusts each ball to the player’s height for convenience and comfort.

Easy on the Wallet

At GreenBox, accessibility never comes at the expense of modern design. An hour at the GDR+ bay starts from $30, while an hour at the TwoVision NX golf simulator suite (up to six persons) starts from $60. For those who want to pick up the game before heading to the course, GreenBox offers expert-led individual coaching by the Singapore Professional Golfers’ Association-certified coaches, through MGK Academy. From just $120 per person for an hour, the lessons utilise intelligent training tools and personalised programmes so that beginners gain confidence. MGK members get a 20% discount.

For those new to golf and MGK, there is a one-stop Screen-to-Green package – including 10 hour-long lessons, proficiency certification, MGK membership and the use of golf balls and clubs – with prices from $1,200 for individuals or as low as $700 per person for groups of four. More rates here, and bookings on GreenBox website.

At GreenBox, the game moves at your pace. No dress codes, no bad weather reports, just uninterrupted play. A solo golfer can complete 18 holes in as little as 45 minutes, while a four-player round clocks in at three to four hours. One can even organise company events or group outings at GreenBox at special rates.

Notably, GreenBox aims to break down barriers to entry to the game, adds Mr Melvyn Tan. “Whether it is learning the fundamentals, refining technique, or simply enjoying the company of fellow players, GreenBox represents what it means to be part of the growing golfing community in Singapore. It's an open invitation to experience the sport at GreenBox, regardless of skill level, with a sense of belonging and excitement.”

Golfers’ Revolutionary Experience

Powered by South Korea’s award-winning Golfzon, its TwoVision NX system unfolds fairways to life in uncanny realism –rendering each course in razor-sharp 4K Ultra HD resolution and layering it with physics so precise, even the terrain shifts beneath your feet with its moving swing plates. Picture undulating terrains replicated by a 5-segment motion plate that mimics over 100 slope angles as well as measure weight transfer; five-surface hitting mats that recreate the fairway, rough, and bunker with startling fidelity; and zero latency between the physical swing and virtual response. Add dynamic lighting and finely calibrated ball mechanics, and the result is as visually breathtaking as it is technically exacting.

It doesn’t stop there. The TwoVision NX system adds auto tee-up, built-in virtual caddies for on-course guidance, LED visual putting guide with real-time directional cues, and high-speed dual sensors capture every detail – club path, angle of attack to the club face impact, and even simulate virtual divots – transforming each swing into actionable data. The system even features foot pressure sensors that track dynamic weight transfer during the swing – a powerful training tool for understanding and improving body mechanics.

GreenBox’s course selection reads like a golfer’s dream itinerary, featuring over 200 of the finest greens across the US, the UK, Japan, Mexico, Ireland, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam, Korea, and more. Even Singapore’s Marina Bay Golf Course has been digitally immortalised, ensuring that past favorites live on in virtual form. The well-loved course at Orchid Country Club will also join the lineup by the end of this year.

With its game-changing Golfzon Network Play technology, GreenBox turns networking into a global sport – linking players in real-time matchups across different bays, rooms, centres and even continents. Friends can tee off together regardless of group size or geography. Coming up at GreenBox: a slate of year-round themed indoor events including skill challenges, equipment demos, and workshops. GreenBox and the SGA are also exploring the potential launch of a National Indoor Golf League, in addition to upcoming inter-club and inter-school tournaments staged across both outlets via Golfzon Network Play.

Greenbox also holds the rare distinction of being one of SGA's designated indoor training facilities for both its national team and development squad, serving as an official supporting partner in the future of the game; while also collaborating with SGA for community outreach events.

Mr Tan Chong Huat, SGA’s President, remarks: “As part of SGA's efforts to increase participation in the sport, SGA will continue to collaborate with all stakeholders, including indoor golf facilities in Singapore such as Greenbox. This initiative is also in line with the existing MOU between SGA and NTUC Club to promote golf to the wider community. These developments will ensure the golf ecosystem in Singapore remains robust as it continues to reach out to more Singaporeans to play the sport through various formats including indoor golf.”
